Hi Gary. Been reading all your books. I also lived in Cushing back in 50's.Now in Pink,Ok which is about 10 mi. west of Tecumseh which is south of Shawnee. '
As for Cushing, Dad worked for the Santa Fe and was working a job there so we moved for 6 months. Then back to KS and later to Purcell. Went to school at Tahlequah, lived in Ponca, and now Skiatook. I've seen a lot of Okiehoma.
By the way, I'm having a get-together here on September 13th if you can make it. Just a day spent bench racing, wrenching, and snacking. We have one guy coming in from Denver, and one from Arkansas, plus several from all over OK. Hope you can make it.
just joklng Chris.I will be there if at all possable. You could have wated untill today to post that tho as it was hard to go to sleep with that etched in my head.
Gary, oops it should have been mpg.By the way has Bird Creek been high with all this rain?
You do know the area. No, Bird Creek hasn't been all that high. Certainly not out of its banks as it frequently does. Even the little creek behind our house hasn't been out of its banks. Apparently the rain has been just slow enough to soak in rather than run off.
