Intakes

Now i was probably going to go with a MAC intake kit but im probably goign to get some prices for a couple different intakes though. Now i was looking at K&N and they have both FIPK (fuel injection performance kits) and Air Chargers. the only difference i can see in the aircharger is that it isn't legal for sale in pollution controlled vehicles.

does anyone have any experience with these? i live in a non pollution controlled province and wanna get the best bang for my buck and am looking for some input

All I have experience with is the MAC. I bought one from http://www.motorhaven.com/customer/home.php and am very happy with it.
Only K&N experience I have is with motorcycles. Sorry.

Im not an expert on the k&n but I think the new fipk and 77 series are for newer computer controlled vehicles. The 77 is just the same as the FIPK but its for trucks and its shiny. Well my brother has a typhoon on an 4.3 s10 and he likes it. I have the mac and it seems to work pretty well although I would like for it to be more of a cold air style and pull more air from the fender than the engine bay.

From what I've heard the K&N FIPK system isn't any better than the rest. I am running a MAC Intake now and love it.

NTHECRUX: The only way to get that colder air is to make a setup of your own and install it.
