360ranger74 is starting off with a positive reputation.
Question 74 f100 dash wiring

Just wanted to know if anyone could help me out some...
Just purchased an ole ranger with a 360 in it , from bein that old wasn't in the best of shape (interior wise anyway). The motor is sound though new top end along with an edelbrock 750 perched on top... ... My question is though... the owner b4 me had the heater wired to run on one single switch ( blower )( missing control panel ) , the bare ends where failed to be wrapped , causing a small fire (thank god for fire extinguishers)!!! After looking closer there were wires running here there and everywhere...cut and goin nowhere.... just bare.
got a stereo for valentines day and went to install it ( within all those wires...cant find a hot wire anywhere from the previous stereo...previous stereo worked fine even after the fire. Used a circuit tester...(nothing) thought maybe the tster was bad, bought a new one ... nothing ...tested from the solenoid on fenderwell...nothing....jumped the solenoid with pliers....fired right up....im stumped....checked for good ground (aint that ) i dunno....prob. somethin simple

If it comes down to it Ill run a wire to the fase block or run an inline fuse.

Rip out all of the existing wiring and get a complete wiring harness from a salvage yard or one of the suppliers listed on my web page. Inspect and install the new wiring harness before the whole truck burns. You can get a wiring diagram with the OEM service manuals on CD available thru the online store.
