Seat Covers for 96 F250 Crew Cab

I'm looking for seat covers to go on the bench seat of my 96 F250 Crewcab. Walmart has covers for solid bench seats but not for those that have the backrests that flip forward so people can get into the back seat. The backrest is divided in two so the passenger or driver can flip his side forward to let people in.

Do I have to order it from Ford and pay a bazillion dollars?

Thanks...

I just ordered a cover for my Front bench from a local seat cover manufacturer for my 88 Ext Cab. I also had a hard time finding a 50/50 bench cover. These people custom make it from heavy canvas and it even has the Ford logo on the backrests.

Look up your local seat cover companies and you will probably find something similar.

Hello David,

Thanks for the tip. Up here in the Panhandle there aren't any seat cover companies! I'm in a relatively small town and the biggest city is Pensacola which is about an hour's drive.

Surely there has to be someone who I can order from online that makes a seat cover for a split back bench seat?

What did you pay for yours if I might ask?

I wonder if I can remove the one I have and wash it? Yikes!

Thanks...

If you already have one and it is in one piece, then yes, you probably can remove it and wash it.

If there is no local place, then I would check some of the online shops (www.seatcoversunlimited.com).

I paid $79.99 for mine. It is supposed to be heavy canvas, Three piece (for the 50/50 bench) in Maroone to match the intereor and have the FORD logo on both seatbacks.

I'm expecting it tomorrow. I ordered it 1/29 and they told me 15 days, but they are running a little behind.

David,

Thanks for the tip. I will try washing it first. It is in decent condition. Just real dirty. Hmmm, do I have to take the seat apart to get it off? I just looked at it and really can't tell how it's put on. I see what I can do.

Thanks!

Is is a seat cover, or the factory upholstery you are talking about?

If it is a seat cover, it should just slide off the seat (possibly attached by some straps under the seat, but definitely made to come off/on without taking off the seat.

Hello David,

Sorry I wasn't more specific. It is the cloth upolstery that came with the truck when it was built. The cloth looks decent it is just dusty as hell. I tried steam cleaning it but no luck. Can I take it off too with out dismantling the whole seat?

Thanks...

I bought a seat cover from Oklae out of Hawaii or Cali. It is form fit Neopreme. Works great, I have two dogs that get in and out all the time. Seat never get wet. I did pay a pretty penny for them, but I think they are worth it. ($250)
It took about 3 weeks to get here, but wow i love these seat covers. And when i said form fit, they make them in a little sweat shop by hand to your specs, you can pick out your exact seats. My brother has a 03 full size ram that has front and back seats and the middle folds up and down. they made the covers for those too. same price.

That's out of my price range right now. I think I'll try and figure how to take out the stock seat upholstery and wash it first. Then, after I ruin them, may be I'll try something else...

Thanks...

Hello Ryanp,

I'm at the Destin area. I just went through Tallahassee not too long ago on my way to and from Mouseville..

I didn't spend much time there. How do you like it there?

Thanks..
