CLACK...CLACK...RATTLE...RATTLE

I posted this in the diesel forum but haven't got any replies. Somebody please tell me what's up with my truck...97 PSD, 140,000 miles. Well maintained. No oil leaks, runs like a top, etc. This morning I noticed a "clack" at idle. Sounds like you put a piece of driftwood in the clothes dryer and turned it on. Runs like a top when on the road, and I don't notice the sound any more. It's almost like it's missing at idle, but runs fine at speed. Somebody please tell me what you think.

Rotorhead.

You might also post this at ford-diesel.com to see if anyone there can help.

Good Idea, NoMo. It's just really got me worried because A) I'm paranoid!! (must be all the pot i smoked in college!!!) and B) I'm broke!! The B) part is nothing new! Nor, for that matter, is the A) part!

Well, I should you. BUT I just said the same thing. Shhhh, don't tell anyone but I have been finding myself over there with a bit more frequency. My quest for more knowledge, specs, info etc. never stops! monsta need input...

Actually the good thing about it is that there are a LOT of resources for Ford owners out there in cyber-land. However, I still believe that

I posted it there, Monsta. I've never really spent any time there. It looks like a good site, although this one is kind of like home to me!!!
