I have always had trucks with dual tanks but this 79 250 supercab that I just picked up is doing the weirdest thing. I filled up with gas about 2 weeks ago and having owned trucks with 351's before I knew what to expect as far as milage. But the gauge while in the rear tank possition was not dropping as fast as you would think. so finally today it got down to an eighth and when I switched to the front all 20 gallons were gone and the guage was reading empty no wonder I didn't have to fill for 2 weeks. The funny thing is that the gauge was obviously working but somehow in tandem.
Has anyone had this problem or something like it. It doesn't seem to be a problem it seems as if the truck is using the front tank 1st and then using the 2nd all on it's ownwithout swithing.
