Question Ford In Trouble

Just wonder if any one has noticed that ford is now giving 2500 dollar rebate on the 6.0. seems kind of strange. there stance has always been no rebates, or rarly on diesels could this be a sign there diesel sales are down do to the fall out of poor quailty on the 6.0. the word is out among the contractors and small businessmen the 6.0 is not right.

question if the 6.0 is really selling like ford says why are they giving rebates. back in 2000 when I ordered my 7.3 it took 12 weeks to get and there were rarley any on the lots. now the lots are full of the new and improved powerstroke.

I got a 3000 rebate in December. Factory rebates are very common, especially this time of year which is the hardest in the car business.
Outside this web site there is little complaint about the trucks. If you count the complainers here they are very few compaired with the millions of vehicles Ford sells.
Having the Truck of the Year in the F-150 doesn't help the sales of F-250s either.

Team FTE,
A friend of mine, his brother inlaw works for FMC. He's saying that Harley-Davidson and FMC had a falling out over the PSD / SD trucks. The word is the lack of promissied performance and the poor showing of the 6.0L engine. He said the contract was voided and the limited amount of H-D super duties will be what was currently made... Any one else heard of this?

the rebates might be common where you live but there rare here on the diesels. I usally buy new truck every other year never been able to get rebate on diesel gas burner yes. no matter what time of the year I buy. end of the year is when I like to buy but no rebates . as far as no complaing , the sales mng at my ford store is a friend of mine and he was telling me last week that they have been geting hammered by repeat diesel buyers that are unhappy with the 6.0 from poor fuel mileage to constant breakdowns and ther sales are way off on the diesels it is the mumber one ford store in town.

I got 1,500 bucks back on my truck plus 2,000 in other various rebates when I bought my truck. There are alot of rebates that the salesman won't tell ya about unless ya ask him directly or find them yourself on the web.

Fact is they use the rebates to move old inventory There is no general knowledge that these trucks are bad because the majority are just fine..

I also got a $2500 rebate back in November.Out of this website I had no clue of what I was getting into. The dealer said this truck was the best on the market.I should had done my research on the 6.0 but in the past the 7.3 was the truck out there so thats what steered me to the 03 F350..

2500 is not correct. !500 is what is being offered.

Ford is currently only giving 1500 rebate for the 6.0L.

Here is a cut from their web site:

2004 F-SuperDuty (Excl. Harley/6.0L)

Purchase Offers valid Friday, February 06, 2004, through Monday, March 01, 2004.

$2500 Cash Back

You notice that it excludes Harley and 6.0L. The cut below is the 1500 rebate on the 6.0L.

2004 F-Super Duty 6.0L

Purchase Offers valid Friday, February 06, 2004, through Monday, March 01, 2004.

$1500 Cash Back

I bought my 2003 6.0L in August of 2003 and received $4500 total in rebates. They were offering $3000 rebate right off the bat. So, $2500 in rebates doesn't sound all that desperate.
