my fault it was 475 , and 66,720 recalled, and yes the numbers came from the automotive news . www.autosafety.org type in superduty in search and go to page 2 story( truck buyers stuck with lemon diesel)

After the initial 66,720, the numbers are a very small percentage.
Solutions for your problems are available if you truly want them.

Outside this web site there is little complaint about the trucks.

Well, there really are other sites, one for example would be the Diesel Stop Forum: http://forums.ford-trucks.com/ubbthreads/

In closing, your statement simply lacks any rational support, sorry to say.

Luke, count the problem posts (only one per customer) Talk to your service manager. I concede the bad injectors. Outside of that and the software problems (posts) there are not that many DIRECTLY verifiable problems. Think about it.

I bought a 2003, 6.0 F-450 with after market utility bed.
Truck sticker 34,756.00
Bed sticker 6,995.00
Bought tax, tag & title 31,000.00
That's 10,756 off sticker.
Nothing but bad luck since

T-Smith - Sorry about your luck. You got a great deal. You will eventually have a great truck if you don't give up.

You must have a big driveway.

500 buyback out of probably 100,000 sold, by now, isnt big. But its too big. Not all of the problems have resulted in buybacks. Some solved, some still being worked on. Some get solved just to create others. Just too many negative comments about a small portion of a large number. Still wish I had one!

the number sold is around 200 K. That makes the numbers very small. The 475 that were repurchased were Lawyer deals. They are reparable!

although the numbers are different now at the time it was quite a problem, the total number made at that time was 95,000 with 475 buy backs ford deemed not repairable for what ever reason, and in addition to that number there was 66,720 recalled for fuel injection control pressure sensor. and that doesnt include the c94 injector problem. so by any way you look at it that is a BIG problem. the reason the numbers have not been made publis about the injectors, is it ford told the public that there were bad injectors, and we are going to replace 2 of your 8 people would have a fit. futher there was so many problems at first that ford and international were almost to the point of severing ther longtime relationship, and as many have said it is not the engine its fords software. so Ih proved that to ford and ford is trying to put bandaids on the problems instead of addressing the problems and putting all there resources toward solving the problems I. E. NO PILOT INJECTION AND NO TRANS BRAKE IN EVERY GEAR. that being said if you think ford is doing right by all the people with unresolved problems then that is your right I dont and thats my right. also some one on a post said there are ways to get your problems solved if really want them, that is kind of hard to believe if you have ap problem and you take your truck to 3 different dealerships and go through all the bull with each one and finally get to the point of them saying we cant figure it out. I to believe ford is still the best LT out there but it doesnt mean they can just continue to turn a deaf ear to the trucks that have problems and people will just keep buying there trucks at some point you get a belly full and you start to look at what else is out there.
