Hot Spot is starting off with a positive reputation.
I purchased my June 2003 build date F250 in August of 2003. I got a little over $8000 off sticker which was $46,800.

I love my truck and I was amazed the other day when I did a blue book value look up on it. WOW!!

I bought an '03 PSD in August '03, and got the Xplan through my employer, $1500 for the PSD, and an extra $1000 for financing through FMC. I don't think FMC's problems are in it's light truck segment, but in it's Passenger car and SUV segment. The LT segment is actually the bright spot on it's balance sheet. As for FMC buying back "five hundred" PSD's from dissatisfied owners; who were these owners, and this is out of the hundrds of thousands or millions of trucks sold? Seems like a very small percentage to me.

Wait a minute....what am I missing here? You either get 1500 back or 500 plus FMC financing, no? Whats with the 1000 for FMC financing and how do you get that with the 1500 rebate? I smell a fish......

Have you guys ever thought that they might be offering the rebates because the economy is down. If they offer the rebate it intices potential buyers. When I was shopping for a diesel in 01 they were offering the rebates.

I bought mine at Christmas but the rebates remain virtually the same today.

$1,500 for the truck
$500 Ford Motor credit cash (cash rebate for financing)
$500 Ford Motor credit Holiday caseh (cash for the holidays)
$500 AQHA rebate

Total Rebate $3K.
I expect the rebates will go up another $500 this fall when the '05s start rolling off the line.

I got mine on the 26th of December, sticker was $44,970, paid $35,888, pretty sure $3500 of that was rebates. One of the reasons I went with the PSD this time was the price, she's running good so far, 3000 miles! Changed oil to DelVac 1 this weekend, 10 degree start this morning without being plugged in, no problems.

twoballsleft,
There is no fish to be smelled. In my state, FL, in August of '03, Ford was offering 1500 cashback for the PSD, plus an additional 1000 cashback for financing through FMC. The gas powered F250's were getting 2500 cashback, and the 1000 for financing. Rebates and incentives change quarterly, and are different in various areas of the country. They were also offering an additional 750 cashback if you were active or reserve military, which I couldn't take advantage of because I am no longer either.

tn mac is new and has a neutral reputation at this point.
mike 223 you hit the nail on the head where I live it is rare for rebate on the diesel, always on the gas burners. but the dealerships here are full of 6.0 psd and they cant move them. the rebate they are offering is 2500 for 6.0 and 1000 for ford financing. also 1000 upgrades if you are business owner.

You can read a lot of things on the web. That is a nice round number. Do you think you can provide us with documentation?

My wife complains all the time too. Some people just see the glass as half full/empty.

twoballsleft - You need to know what the rebate is for your area and ask for it.
