Question Where's the relay???

Howdy again guys,
I really could use bailing out right about now. I need to find the darn fuel pump relay! It's sticking on and draining the battery. What's more, I suspect it's going out all together since the van dies while going down the road on occasion. My beast is an '87 Clubwagon with 5.0l and AOD tranny.
Thanks in advance Fellas,
-John R.

You check behind the passenger's side kick panel?

Not yet. I think I've looked everywhere else though. Nothing looks guilty. Autozone's sight said it was on the passenger fenderwell. If it is, I didn't see anthing that looked like a relay there. I'll try behind the panel next I guess.
Thanks.

Look under the hood, there may be a Power Distribution box kind of under the brake master cylinder. In my 1992 that is where it is, and in my dad's '88 as well.

Mine is on the inner passenger fender, right next to the battery.
There are a couple of other relays there, but I haven't worked out what they're for yet.

Howdy again fellas,
I found it! The inertia switch is on the passenger kick panel. The fuel pump relay is above that under the dash a bit. Initially I thought the EEC power relay was the one, but the wire colors were wrong. I also think I've finally found my 1st worthless Hayneys manual! Chilton saved my butt!
Thanks for the input guys!!!

Haynes has an update chapter in this one for '87 an on. It's close to pointless. Even thier wiring diagram's wrong. I've got The Helms manuals and the Chilton for my '87 Clubwagon. Thank God I did this time. I broke my right arm and took my '90 F-150 w/M5OD tranny out of service. This darn van is really needed now!
