215 & 223 Ford six build up
Hi I going to rebuild my six and would like to hear from anyone with ideas or tips on a performance built up of the 215, 223, & 262 Ford six engines. I am also looking to find a 262 Ford six engine core or just the mainly the short block or a Crank. Here is the info I have on them and crankshaft numbers 1961- 63 most have a C1TE6303H casting number. The '64 models have a C4TE6303C. This truck only motor (Door code- ‘61-'64: B) is found in 1961- 64 C-550 & C-600 tilt cab trucks, F-600 trucks, B-600 buses, and the 1964 light trucks F-100, F-250, F-350, and possible industrial applications also found in the DIVCO trucks as the "G" series motor to until 1965. The standard Bore size is 3.718 with a Stroke of 4.03.To identify a 262 block the best way is to look for an extra massive cast rib on the left side above the oil pan. Also their are two fuel pump locations 1961 to 63 it is on the timing cover 1964 is in same location as a 223. The 215 & 223 blocks don’t have this cast rib also a smaller bore sizes of 3.56 and 3.625 with a stroke of 3.60. Thank you very much for the help!

Good bloody luck!
I've been looking for 3 bleedin' years for a '64 & have gotten buggered several times now over supposed 262's or one that was supposed to be rebuildable.
Why do certain individuals find it so easy to lie to someone?
Oh & by the by, Hollanders states that the Tilt Cab version of the 262 doesn't play well w/ others. In otherwords, not much interchanges & the way it's configured it wont fit a Standard Cab Truck engine compartment.
W/ you being in Temple City maybe we can get together & do some skulling seccesions on our trucks, I'm in BPk, right next door to you.
Cheers
