Theres been talk that 15 qts of oil is too much for the 6.0. Causes oil level to read at top of dipstick. This "overfill" condition will let the crank beat the oil into a froth, either by the crank making actual contact with the oil or , if not touching the oil then by a fan effect of the crank counterweights. This frothy oil, some hypothesized would play havoc with our oil sensitive 6.0s. Well, I started reading the manual and in one of the symptom charts under poor idle quality, one of the first things it tells you to check is oil aeration. This is how you do it.
15. Oil Aeration Test
Purpose:
The purpose of this test is to determine if the engine lube oil is aerated and causing poor idle quality.
Oil Aeration Test
Run engine at 3000 RPM for 1 minute.
Take oil sample from the oil pressure switch port at idle.
Inspect the sample for presence of air bubbles.

I didn't go through all that. I just filled my crancase to the middle of the crosshatch on the dipstick. At first I thought it might have been the brand of oil that made it run smoother. I am now convinced it was over filled from the start. I also believe all the posts on romping after first oil change was due to overfilling. Sensitive 6.0? I'll grant you a little leeway on that one, but any engine will behave badly in some manner if you overfill the crancase.
