1978F100 is starting off with a positive reputation.
Power Steering Add On

I am trying to put power steering on my 1978 F100. Any info will help. Thank you!

Jimbare is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
you will need the pump, brackets, and pulleys from a donor truck with the same motor as yours. you will need a power steering gear box, and column from a truck, 73-79 gearbox will work, column must be from 78-79 to fit properly. when you get everything just un bolt the old parts and bolt the new stuff on.

Jim is right on - assuming yours is a 2wd. It's very different for a 4x4.
