wut engine iz mine/replies pleez

so whats crackin,

my problem is first of all how do i tell what 300 motor i have. You know, i see everything from like 3.2L to 4.9L. I roll in a 90' f150. Trying to fix problems but haven't quite learned much about the whole EFI vacuum regulated BS. sure is a strong engine though with an exhaust leak and like a misfire at low RPM and idle. Seems that everybody has the sputter affect with these engines. I am thinking the sputter might be my coil?? Also, maintenance on the EFI, what to do. Everything helps, thanks.
Ya, one more thing, there is this bar on the top of the engine that looks like it has injector deal on each cylinder, believe this is some kind of air return for emmissions, one of the injector deals has been cut and welded shut. Is this bad?? Maybe someone has similar problems and wants to sharetheir thoughts!!!

I guess it sounds like you have the 300 I6 in your truck correct? There is another forum here that deals specifically with those engines. I would check in that forum also.

Just go to the forum titled :Inline Six:
