I have been reading all I can on this and I have come accross some posts talking about putting 315/70 17 on the f150s but no one i have seen has said it was with out without a lift kit. This is my bottomline question. I have a 2000 F150 4x4 with 5.4l. I know the 285/70 17 will fit on the truck without an issue but for the price I can get 315/70 17 for about 100$ dif. I want to know if I can put these on the truck without a lift kit. I dont believe the stock wheels will work since many say the max for the factory 17s is the 285/70 17. So i wonder what width, offset, and size would i have to go with, if i can, to put a set of 315/70 17s on my pickup? What are your thoughts on this? thanks
You might try 305's. I saw a set on a truck today and asked the guy if they rubbed, he said they barely touched his plastic air dam on the bottom of the bumper when the wheels were turned all the way.
I have 285's on my extended cab and i really like them alot, but the 305's look better.
