manual trans in 2005

I have been reading this forum for quite a while and i have heard a lot of complaining about the lack of a manual trans. I just read on a motor trend web site that there will be a manual trans and a v6 offered in 2005. I have no idea how reliable the source is but that is what the magazine said.

Too bad it is not available now. I really like the look of the supercrew (AKA SCREW but was surprised to find it is not available with a stick.

I really want to believe that today's autos are as good, but 1) our '91 Plymouth Voyager had one fail at 75K and again at 150K, resulting in premature EOL for the vehicle and 2) my son just had his '01 Ranger in the shop for problems with the transmission that could have left him stranded on the road.

I'd like to replace my F250 SCAB (AKA Supercab with something a little smaller, but I really REALLY don't want an auto trans.

:-(
