Where to buy air cleaner housing and heat collector

Other than wrecking yards does anyone know where one can order a air cleaner housing with snorkel and a heat collector for a 1978 460?

I have yet to see one and our local junk yards haven't come up with one locally yet. Be nice to be able to order one online.

Amazing how many places you can get those useless open air cleaners and nearly any part around the cleaner but I have yet to see a catalog with the housing in it.

Thanks in advance.

The housing and snorkel should be very common in junkyards. The part that is going to be hard to find is the collector since they were exposed to high heat and tended to rot away.

Also check the topics here for dual snorkel air cleaner setups.

Luckly I had the one out of the donor car for my 460. I installed headers and made a piece out of aluminum to clamp to my header that would allow heated air to reach the carb.

I did see a couple on EBay and am watching one of them. One is in pretty rough shape. First time I've seen an oil filter sticking ou of an air cleaner before. What's up with that. Have seen a lot of oil bath air cleaners over the years but not that.

I will call NPD. I have their catalog and di not find them. Maybe they're just not listed there.

Those air cleaners were in mid 70's 460 Lincolns. Not sure what the 'oil filter' looking can is for.

Is the heat collector the thing that bolts over the exhaust manifold with the outlet on top for connecting a hose to the snorkel?
