92 3.8 in 95 windstar

I'm installing a 92 3.8L FWD into a 95 Windstar. Everything going good But my prob right now is. How do I correctly install the Electronic Cam Module where the distirbuter would go????

Right now this has been my hang up and the darn manual I bought (used) apparently had those page torn out

I'd truely appreciate any and all assistance on this

i havn't had much experience with the 3.8 but on a 4.0 you set cyl#1 to tdc(line up crank sensor to mark) on compression stroke then you need a special tool(cms allighnment tool) to time the sensor. the tool goes in place of the sensor then you rotate the housing untill the tool slides in the grooves.
good luck

thanks

Thanks for the heads up. I checked with the big 3 tool (Mac, Matco, and Snap-On) and sure enough I needed a special tools. Matco had the best price of the three at under $16.00 and Mac was the expensive one at $20.00. It seems If you work on a ford distributor-less ingnition system you will need one of the special tools
