AWD for Ford ala Chevy Vans??

I've been looking for an 7-8 pass vehicle preferably Ford and would consider the Econoline but it doesn't have AWD. Chevy recently added AWD to their Big Van and that makes alot of sense. I briefly thought of Chevy but too many reliability issues with those. Any chance of Ford adding AWD to their big vans soon??

Thought about an Expedition but consumer reports rates it not very reliable. The Excursion is just too long and I've already tried a Windstar, not too bad but was also worried about it's reliability record and it's lack of room.

Anyway I'm still looking, maybe I could keep the wife current Jeep and pick an older 95-96 Ford van with the I6 300 motor for times we need all the seating at one time.

I haven't heard any plans to add AWD, but this doesn't mean that it isn't going to happen. I once heard some rumors that the E-Series would become extinct due to fuel economy and crash sandards and be replaced by the Transit van from Europe (similar to the Dodge Ram being replaced by the Dodge badged Mercedes Sprinter)...But a recent article in Automotive News said that was cancelled. My guess is that if they keep the current van around they may include an AWD variant if Chevy's takes off well. So far though, I haven't seen many of the Chevy AWD's on the road.
