I am considering swapping my 16" oem tires and wheels(265r7516,E) for Ricksons 19.5' wheels with Michelin 24570r19.5 load range F. I asked the Ford dealer if they could re-calibate the truck for the difference in tire size--about 7 %. He said maybe--I would have to pay for them to try and see if it would work with my ECU(?). Has anybody had their truck re-calibrated for larger tires? Is their a Ford site I could get this information from? I have a -04 350 4wd CC short bed. Made 10-03-03. I want to go to the higher rated tires for safety factor with a Bigfoot camper. Thank you.

 

I just added 35" wheels & lift. The dealer would not re-calabrate the speedo since they did not install the lift & tires due to liability?. The service tech said that it can be done I believe up to 35" tires with a +/- of 2 MPH. I am going to call a speedo shop in town and see if they can do it. Anyone one else have any ideas?

 

had mine in shop last week tech. great guy tryed to recal. mine for 305/70r16 on 16x8 wheels couldnt get to work. very exprienced tech. had done it befor just would not work on my truck go figure. didnt charge a penny.
