1950 F-1 - Positive or Negative ground?

I have a 50 F-1 that had been converted to 12 volt with an alternator. I know these trucks started out with a positive ground but would that change with a modification to the charging system? It's been over 5 years since I had a battery in this truck and can't remember how it was set up. Just want to be sure before putting juice to it.
Thanks.

It could be 12 V without being changed to neg grnd.

Look at your coil. What post goes to the distributor? If you are negative ground the (-) post will lead to the dizzy.

If pos grnd it will be the (+) post.
