Why do you drive a Bronco?

What do you drive and why do you drive it? What was the first thing you remember that made you have to get behind the wheel of a Bronco?

I drive an 86 full size with a 351w and C6 trans. I like the body style first off. two doors, and can go topless, I bought a bronco over a Jeep beacuse I need to tow, plow and I can fix everything but transmissions. the C6 is toughest thing next to a full -blown Allison 10 speed. I'm a big guy and the bronco fits and she feels like a big truck I love her

decked out full-size '79. long as i can remember i have wanted one. plus, i LOVE buying gas! lol. another thing i've noticed is that most women like broncos, too. and, yes, i love driving it with the top off, and being able to drive anywhere i want to in whatever conditions i dare go out in.

like 7-9 bronc i LOVE buying gas, i jus put 55 bucks in her last night .. that should get me through the week. the reason i got the bronco is i needed a truck and it was in the paper. it was the only fullsize anything that was in decent shape for my price range. plus it had a plow so selling that made up for the parts i had to buy to get it runnin right. it was suppose to be a winter vehicle for a few months then i was gonna sell it ... that was about 14 months ago.

i got my bronco because it so purty at the dealer. and knew i would like telling people '351' and '5.8' when asked 'bout whats under the hood. i concur w/ 7-9broncXLT, the ladies do like broncos. it's big, i used it to flip a car over one time (don't ask)- forded a flooded road- oh yeah 4x4. the list of reasons goes on.. -wb

Just bought my second Bronco, a 96. I like that the top can come off, it is amzing off road, even stock, It is full size, but not too long, able to park and turn on a dime, Looks Good, can tow a significant amount, mileage sucks, but no worse than any other full size v-8 truck on the road. Mine has been as reliable as Rain In Washington, and it is PAID FOR

I did not really want one at first, But i got a great deal "steal" on it. It is a 90 Bronco 302 Rebuilt just before purchase and I bought it from a freind for 1500. Now that I have it I love it. It is very roomy Got good power. Top comes off. can hual stuff in it and It 4x's well and for them Tight trails I can pull the jeep off the trailer that it pulled to camp

3 words. Chicks dig convertibles.
And I needed a truck to tow.
It's the best of both worlds.

I have a 78 with a 351M, the 78 has almost no exhaust restrictions, the top comes off, and it crushes anything in its path.

Well....lemmeesee...

I guess it all started when I took on a new job and thought that I should probably get something that would be a little more reliable my 85 Blazer with 224,000 miles. Not that it ever stranded me, but with the odo. up north of 200K the thought was always there. So, I looked and looked...I was really after a 2 door Tahoe, but they were pretty hard to come by, harder still to find at a reasonable price. Then I stumbled across this "cream-puff" Bronco for a pretty good deal. I had never really subscribed to the Ford vs. Chevy crap, so I ponied up my money and took possession of the beast.

It ran great right up until the week after the dealer warranty ran out...then the cruise control quit working...followed by the rear tail gate window, alternator, fuel pump, serpentine belt tensioner (left me stranded), transmission (left me stranded) , transfer case, transfer case motor, front hubs, radiator, plug wires, rear end bearings& axle seals, fuel pressure regulator, fan clutch, heater motor, head gasket, speed sensor, transfer case motor (again), power steering pump, dome light, oxygen sensor, radius arm bushings, muffler & tailpipe...and the list continues. Luckily now with 10" of snow on the ground, the transfer case motor has quit again, but at least it's IN four wheel drive. After all this I can't wait to see what the next 40,000 miles has in store!
