What's the deal with the F150 Heritage?
So how long will they build the F150 Heritage trucks, and what plants are they built at? I know the new ones are built in KC (where my '95 was built) and Virginia. It seems kinda confusing to come out with a new F150, but then continue to build the old one. I guess they're looking to keep the customers who want a cheaper F150, but why didn't they design a new truck that wasn't so incredibly overweight, so it could still possibly run a V6?

I think they had little choice but to redesign the F150, alot of people give alot of consideration in crash testing these days and the old F150 folded like a sheet upon impact.
I would not have bought one after seeing the results, when much safer vehicles are out there.
I suspect they will drop the Heritage soon.

The Heritage is built at the Ontario Assembly plant in Oakville, Ontario, CA. This is the only year for them, production will end pretty soon, probably April or May, then switch over to the new body style. This allowed them to continue building 6-cylinder, manual transmission, and Lightning models for one more year.
