f150 S-crew cabin venting question
Hi folks,
Well, I picked up a 2004 F150 Lariat super crew last week and I have a question about cabin venting. On the passenger side I noted what I thought was an air leak in the door seal. After some investigation I found that the draft that I was feeling was coming from the lower front seat belt mount. The lower interior molding has an opening that allows the seat belt to pass through and mount to the bulkhead of the truck. I note a steady draft coming from this opening but only when the engine is running. The draft is slight and does not increase with vehicle movement. I note the same draft on the driver’s side but the opening through the molding is much smaller thus the draft is less noticeable. Is it possible that this is part of the venting system or worse, a design flaw?
