Where can you buy unleaded diesel?

No, it's not me asking, but the question was asked of a friend of mine at the fuel pumps earlier today. A guy driving a Chevy 3500 dually approached my friend, and asked the question: "Where can you buy unleaded diesel?"
My friend, we'll call him John, asked if he really wanted diesel, or unleaded gas. John pointed out that Chevy diesels have a Duramax emblem on the side, but there wasn't one on the truck in question. The Chevy driver insisted that he had bought a 6.0 liter diesel, but his fuel door said: "Unleaded fuel only", so he was puzzled. John had enough decency not to laugh in the guys face, but waited until he got back into his truck. I'm afraid John passed up his opportunity to tell the guy: "Here's your sign!"

almost the same here

About 10 days ago, I was at the Diesel pump filling my PSD when a U-Haul rental truck pulled up to the gas pumps and from the sound of the engine, it was a Diesel. I looked at the driver as he prepared to start the gas pump and said to him,"If I were you, I'd be putting Diesel in that truck instead of gas" His reply was," I forgot what I was driving"......WELL DUH!

That's an awe inspiring display of willpower. I might have been tempted to let him finish his class in the school of hard knocks, but I'm not very personable.

I was in Bristol the other day at a Auto Zone when someone call wanting a pump to drain a truck tank. Turns out the station acrose the street had some guy put $10.00 worth of gas in a diesel!!! I've got a question do any of Y'all ever put any atf in your tank. And yes I have and can't tell any difference. I've had people tell me it give them as many as 3 xtra miles a gal. But now it did give Wal-Mart a couple xtra bucks and me less.

Adding ATF to your fuel was something that was done years ago on early diesels. The Powerstroke is waaaaaaay more sophisticated than the engines of that era. It's definitely not recommended to put ATF in a Powerstroke. If you really want to put something else in your tank, use Stanadyne.

I was filling up my diesel this summer and some guy in a little car pulled up to the next diesel pump and put in his card and such. I told him nicely that he had the wrong pump. He said "I know what I'm doing KID!" (I'm only 22 and look about 16).

Imagine his astonishment when he couldn't make the nozzle fit. I just looked at him and said "told you so". He was kind of ticked off. I could not resist.
