if i was going to buy a new crate motor right now i would get the 5.0 cammer from ford racing.

Yep...I would too, if I had $15k (or however much it is) to drop on a new engine

Crate 5.4

I resently bought a '99 f-250 that the motor was locked up in. I checked around several places but always kept getting turned back to FORD. I had to buy a rubuilt 5.4, the cost was $3600 with 3yr 36000 mile warranty. I was told in the event that it broke ( the long block only ) ford fixes it parts and labor at no charge no matter who installs it. I installed the motor with my uncles hlp in just over 7 hours and had the truck opn the road. now I have a great truck with only 8000 and a little time invested. ( they look more intimidating than they really are)
