U-joint greasing?

I just changed the front-most rear driveshaft u-joint on my truck. the u- joint had grease on it already so i installed it and went on my way. after i finished everything up, I greased the driveshaft spline zerk, and just to be safe i was going to grease the u-joint just to be safe. My problem is that when i finally got the gun onto the zerk, i could not pump it? No grease would go into it. I dont know if maybe i installed the zerk wrong or anything. now, 2 days later I hear a slight squeaking on take off, and if i feel the u-joint caps they feel warm after driving a short while. What do you think i shoudl do?

i have had bad grease zerks with new u-joints. you might try changing the zerk. you have to make sure to grease them after you install them, they come with a little grease to keep them from rusting but after they are instaled they need to be greased again
