Has anybody been there? I have a 79 E150 Van with a 300 six with a 3 speed coloum shift. I have a donor 84 F150 300 six with the granny low T18 transmission. The Van is a Low Use Tool truck but has a history of eating up clutch's As it is a occasional use work truck I don't care that the floor needs chopping to allow the tranny shifter to stick thru. I think the fact of being able to use the granny gear when required will cut down the clutch consumption. Is there anything I 'm not thinking of????? that would prevent this swap from happening?? thanks in advance.
