Distributor rebuild?

I have the distributor out of my 89 302 for reasons unrelated to the distributor itself and the bearings in it seem kind of rough and it doesn't spin freely. Anyone know if I can get parts and rebuild it myself or do I have to buy a rebuilt? I checked the local auto parts stores websites and they don't seem to have anything like a rebuild kit.

Complete rebuilds are available everywhere reasonably with exchange. You might want to look into an aftermarket performance distributor from companies like Mallory and MSD. They improve performance and aren't that expensive. Summit and Jeg's sell them, to name a few.
