I am not sure if this is the right place but here it is:
May 1st and 2nd, that is a Saturday and sunday, Lawrence hosts it's 41st. annual Automotive swap meet!!

It is held at the Douglas Co. Fair grounds.

I usually go every yr folks. It takes pretty much both days to cover all of the vendors.

Free to the public vendors must pay.
Fri. public can come in to see 5pm till dark. most of the vendors are still coming in at that time.
Sat. 6:30 am till dark
Sun. 7am till 12pm. This is the day you get the best deals!!!

Ya, this is a great swap meet. I have'nt missed one in years! Probably like at least 20 years. I used to be a vender there back in my hot roding days but now I just browze. They have a little bit of everything there. New and used. Dune buggys, dirt bikes, tools, compresser, welders, campers, Rims, Stuff for old and new vehicles, body parts, You name it they have it. It is well worth a trip up here to Lawrence to see it!

 

Sounds like the start of a g2g in Lawrence in may?
Hope I can get there. Sure like the prices motorhaven has.

 

Is this the same swap meet that is at the Woodlands? Or is that a totally different one?

 

Sounds like fun to me, I love scrounging parts! of course I usually bring home things I have no idea what Ill do with!

Sorry Mark, what I meant was is this put on by the same company. I think the one at the Woodlands is the Shriners? Just curious. I'll probably make both now. Thanks for informing me that I will be spending money again this year! LOL

Maybe we should meet up for breakfest somewhere? The good deals happen in the morning. Or if breakfest is a problem for the out of towners, maybe lunch. And yes I'm always thinking about food!! lol What can I say, I'm single. It's hard to get a good meal around my place.
