I was looking into buying a 93 ranger single cab 2 wd from a friend of mine, it has a 3.0L v-6, and a 5 speed manual transmission, everything is stock
what do these trucks run stock in the quarter mile, I know they aren't race cars but I would appreciate a good estimate

Why don't you just take it out and try it? But I wouldn't plan on taking home the trophy.

Bracket racing is all about consistancy.
I had a pic of a bone stock 77 Town car that ran dead on numbers all day and won his class.

 

Well if I wanted to take home the trophy, I think I would try it out before I bought it. Just a thought.

What specs do you want? This isn't a hot rod! It's a small truck! I would guess that it will be pretty slow.

Off hand guess would be about 17 sec or so mph might be something like 75-80 mph(guess), maybe alittle slower. My buddy had one just like it, it was quick but it was no match for my 4.0 extended cab. I bieleve that runs about mid 16's or so. I kept saying that I was gonna take it to the track last summer but the nearest track is over an hour and a half and I just didn't have the enthusiasm to drive that far on a sat after work. My dad was gonna go up with me and run his mustang one weekend but the weather turned crappy that weekend or something.

 

Bracket racing stinks. What good is it to race someone if the object isn't to get to the finish line first?

 

I would guess a high 18 seconds, the 3.0 just ain't a fast motor.

20 sec. maybe 19.5

 

0-60 on the 3.0 is about 11 seconds
