approved oil and fuel filters.......

does for have an approved filter list like cummins with fleetguard?.......

i.e. i see on this board people are using :

oilguard ( i don't need a bypass system),
napa/wix,
fram (would never use),
fleetguard,
international
motorcraft

what does fmc say we can use and still stay within the warranty?

thanks. scott.

RACOR is the OEM manufacturer of both the fuel sysem filtration and the oil filtration. Bought a Motocraft, then bought Racors from OilGuard, both have all the same numbers, and believe it or not, right down to the lot number on one!
International should be the same
Have heard, but not seen NAPA is the same.
Your feeling about Fram is good.

Buy Racor, its cheaper unless you like the colorful MotorCraft box. Racors box is just white................ Racor makes MotorCraft filters for the 6.0 as the other gentleman in the earlier post said.

NAPA is identical to the one that came from the factory and was less than $16 with military discount and tax.

why is fram so bad?? ive used it on all my vehicles, from a 1990 f4450 7.3 diesel, 1992 f250 5.8L gasser, which i still have and run perfectly to my 2001 accord. i buy fram b/c they are so readily available at walmart or advanced auto parts. i've never had a problem and i doubt everyone else who has been buying them has had hei vehicles stop working.
