Hey guys,

What are the HP and torque peaks (and RPMs) for the 4.6 and the 5.4? Just wondering how they compare to each other and to my 351

 

4.6L 231HP 290 lb-ft

 

5.4L 260HP @4500 RPM
350lb/ft @2500 rpm

4.6L 220HP @4500rpm
290LB/ft @ 3250rpm

These are 1999-2003 specs.

My current 1999 owner's manual says the 5.4 has 250 hp

My old 1997 manual said the 5.4 had 330 hp

 

Must have been a misprint on the 97, they had 230

 

It was my fat fingers that messed it up. It was supposed to read 230 :-)

 

that is too bad that it does not give info for 1999's!!!

 

The 1999 F250's did not get the PI heads. They came out in 2000 with the PI heads so the 1999 f250 had 230 HP.
