Escape Driver Seat Discomfort

I bought my Escape last year. Test drove. Everything's good. I bought the vehicle. Great vehicle. However, after a few hours of driving it, I began to notice that I was wriggling around trying to get comfy in the seat. Couldn't do it. After a full day of driving it, I realized that the driver's seat felt like it was sloping downward to the left. Have taken it in for "repair" several times. The seat feels level for about a day and then it's "sloping" again. I reported this problem the first week I had the car. I'm not that heavy and I haven't been jumping up and down on the seat. Why can't it be fixed? I have read other's concerns of uncomfortable seats on Escapes and I am adding mine to the list. Who can I contact at Ford if the dealer can't resolve this problem? I believe in Ford products but I don't want to pay for a vehicle that I'm not comfortable in for the next 5 years. Dealer has already denied my request to trade out vehicles saying they couldn't do that on this type of problem. Saw a post where someone said the seats were hard....they are. This doesn't help.

same problem with driver seat

I have had the same problem with the driver seat. I haven't taken it in yet, but i am always trying to get comfortable. The seat also feels like it is sloping to the door. I'm glad to hear that i am not over-reacting. Any ideas from others would be great

There's another Escape website where this issue has come up recently. Seems with the 2005 Escape, they sloped the seat to the left by design. Suppose to help ease getting in and out of the Escape. Seems they also moved the seat over so it's not aligned with the steering wheel too. This was part of Ford's design with the 2005.
