I use Rotella T 15w-40 in my 2000 F250 PSD. It has 132,000 Miles on it now, no problems having to do with oil, just bad fuel from local Kum and Go.

Just changed my oil today with Motorcraft 15/40. Label says synthetic blend. Cranked it over and within a few seconds it started to idle smoother and quiter. Since its the same oil it came with from the factory, I attribute the difference to freshness.

I was wanting to change to Mobil 1 Delvac synthetic but cannot find a local dealer who carries it. Will probably order via internet and have ready for next change.

I have used Castrol products in my gassers for years with great results. I just found the Castrol RX Super Heavy Duty is marked with the CI-4 API rating. I changed out the Delo 400 15-40. It idles smoother and runs good.

I have been told by three different ford mechanics to use three different oils. I wish they would all get together on this! :P

One sd to use Ford motorcraft of course......sd that it breaks down around 3500 mls and would probably need to add an anti foaming agent since it is not economically possible for me to change the oil every 3500mls, because I put around 5000mls on the truck every week to every other week.

Had one tell me to use Mystic and one tell me to use Rotella.

The last mechanic I talked to sd that rotella breaks down around 2500mls.

So, I still don't know what is the best. I have an '03 F350 6.0L Which by the way is a piece of crap.

There are only two oils approved for use in the engine. They are Shell Rotella and Motorcraft.

Why don't you try a search, here... and make your own decession. There is a ton of info.
My choice is Mobile Delvac 1. The Mobile oil makes mine run smoother starts easier and is quiter.
You choice.............

Do the search......read read read

SBV45, Wasn't trying to be informative (obviously), I was wanting other users educated input, not uneducated crap.
