Triton V8 vs. Triton V10?

>and counting ! ) Hmmmmm ? Funny I don't see it listed even
>once !
Funny...I didn't see one vehicle in that "top 10" list that would carry the 4000 lbs of rock I put in my rig last week-end or the 3 cu. yds. of granite, or my camper, or the 2 cu. yds, of topsoil. I'd love to see those engines listed drag those loads around.
Must be something wrong with my "motor" choice

Just to keep this going. The Duramax is in there. I'm sure it can do it what you ask of it Outpost22. Although, for how long is still not known.
But anyway, it's nice to see such fierce loyalty to our engine choices. Just remember, "to each, his own." I'm glad, PetreTg, that you have shared your knowledge about hoppin' up the V8. As it is the base engine in the beloved SD, there are many guys driving it around. Hopefully they can learn a thing or two from it. Which again, is the purpose of our discussions. They may learn that it can expensive to get to stock V10 output and still have to run premium. But they may also feel,as you, that it is a worthy endeavour. Working to make our rides "better" (to us anyhow) is half the fun of owning these trucks!
Let's all not get too heated in our debates. Both the V8 and the superior V10 are Ford engines! And that's really all that matters here, right?

Outpost ..... Are you trying to say MY truck couldn't move those loads ??? I hate to tell ya , but I'll bet ya I could .
As a matter of fact I know it could do it .
(Although maybe not as well as the v-10 )
BUT I COULD DO IT !

Yes Monsta I missed the Duramax. This was probably due to the Aversion to the brand it's stuck in and the fact it should have been listed as Isuzu.
The only 5.4 in that list was the supercharged Lightning engine. Not exactly what Pete has under his hood Although he THINKS he does
I guess if I bolted a SC onto the "10" it might make it perform a little better . Then, I'd have to rebuild the tranny and driveline every 10'000 miles. Bt what a fun 10,000 miles it would be
