DEE ZEE Toolbox
I was not planning on getting a toolbox for my bed, but I just got an add for a local place and they are going to have an aluminium single lid treadplate toolbox on sale for like $100.00. Is this that good of a deal??? Any pro's or con's of going with the DEE ZEE or a toolbox in general??
Thanks,

Hey guys,
I'm new to the group. I've been lurking awhile, and haven't had anything to add until now. If any of you guys (or gals ) want a tool box, but don't want to drill holes in your bed rails, fear not! Go to your local hardware store and buy 4 5/16" "J" hooks. They will go through the holes already in the box and hook under the lip of the bed rails. I've done it on my last two trucks and it leaves no scars. Also dont use the sticky foam strip that comes with the box. Instead use a strip of rubber belting or thick rubber gasket material.
Good luck all!
Always Be Happy,
Never Be Satisfied!!

If it is a true dee zee brand box it comes with the j hooks and you have to drill the hole it goes through. I have done this with more than 10 trucks and it has never failed. If you choose to use the foam strips that come with the dee zee box stick them to to the underside of the lip on the box and not to your truck.
Never had a problem with Dee Zee and I can't say enough about them.
