My '99 diesel 250 seems to be having problems mostly on idle. It sounds like a heart beating! The throttle goes up and down, up and down. Any clue as to what could cause this? Thanks.

I know on a gas car that would be blamed on a vacuum leak or an Idle Air Controller...but I don't know about the diesel, thought I should mention it anyway...

 

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to inspect a lil closer and do some more searching.

 

Take it to the local aprts store and have them do a diagnostic test, might be some sensor which is half working. Enough to create the ohm resistance so the PCM module will not detect, but not the right resistance or sensing for sense correct.
