all the owners of trucks with such problems avoid this forum now.

The tapping on the keyboard reminds them too much of the dreaded sound!!

Sorry guys, but I was wondering the same thing, and was tryin to keep it light!
Sure hope a remedy is found soon for previous, current, and all future rear-sliders!

Not to worry, mine is still bugging me periodically. I'm just waiting for someone to come up with a fix. Guess I've just learned to live with it and I'm not to the point that i'm ready to go to my dealer about it.

Thanks for bringing it back up.

Hey, I talked to the shop supervisor at the local dealership the other day about this problem. He was aware of it but had only gotten 1 truck in for the repair. He said it was something about a new seal around the back window and when it was installed at the factory it was over tightned causing it press out of place and allow the back glass to come in contact with the metal. All that was needed was to remove the back window and put a another new seal in place and make sure not to overtighten it. He said he did this repair for that one truck about 2 months ago and hasn't heard from the guy since ( so he assumes it fixed it), or the guy could have just gave up. It ticks me off to know that the truck i've got ordered is going to most likely rattle the day i get it.

Ultramax:

My rear electric slider doesn't rattle at all and I've listened for it after reading about it on the forum.

Ziebart for $867.08, including tax. Based on the threads i've been reading out there, I paid too much..but I had to have it. The only option I got was the battery operated light.
