Very Cool Intake Snorkle Thingy

Ok guys I put the K&N FIPK on today. Everything went well. I used the factory snorkle to create the sudo RAM air affect. Took the snorkle off of the oem filter housing and cut the hole into the fiberglass radiator bracket to line up with the hole in the rubber flap where the snorkle originally went thru. Glued a piece of vinyl screen onto the back side of the snorkle tube and then pushed the front side of the snorkle thru my new hole to the outside. This works perfectly to direct fresh air right up underneath the K&N filter. I made my hole in the fiberglass tight enough so that the snorkle won't move. I will be adding a filtercharger wrap shortly. I'm real happy with how this turned out and will put up some pics as soon as I can. Anybody had any problems with wtr getting into the filter with this setup?

Haven't heard of any problems, and I doubt a naturally aspirated engine would suck hard enough to injest water from that kind of mod by itself. You'd probably have to hit a HUGE puddle/pond/lake. But if you do have issues, be sure to let us know!

Monsta, I'm gonna get some pics up real soon. As I said this came out real neat. BTW....a tennis ball fits in the snorkle real well if ya wanna block out wtr....like when your driving on a rainy day. Paint the ball blk of course cuz I don't wanna see any great lookin trks out there with ugly yellow tennis ***** stickin out of the grill. Don't laugh. I did this last nite. I actually cut the ball in half so I have a spare, then painted them blk. I will take some pics.
