Question 302 truck/mustang compatability

i just got a 90 f150 w/ the 302.
i know it's not a roller cam..
i have a TON of mustang performance parts laying around that i'd really like to put on this truck. will most heads work on the motors? mostly concerned with piston to valve clearance. i'd probably just put the ported e7's on it.
and then what about the intake? is there any reason a mustang designed intake wouldn't work? i know the truck motors, the intake is totally different and comes out on the drivers side. what mostly concerns me with the intake issues are the throttle linkage, and fuel rail.

and ANY info at all about these truck motors would really help... if anyone has links just with info that'd be great too.
what heads are used on them? anyone know cam specs?
Has anyone done this kinda thing before using a mustang intake?thanks.

oh also, does anyone know if mustang shortie headers would work? they sure look like they're the same dimensions.
and anyone have links for performance stuff for 302 truck motors also? i was planning on just gutting the cats on this thing... don't want to put too much money in it, budget project.

oh and if this is in the wrong forum could the mods move it to the best one?

The roller and non-roller engines have the same heads. If the headers clear the obstacles then they will work. Any Small block head will bolt on to any small block.

Which year? If its your 90 then they are probably E7TE heads. Could be E5s though. Its not hard to find.

yep it's on the 90. how do you tell the difference between an e5 and e7? do you have to pull the valve cover off and look there?

The casting number should be under the exhaust on the bottom of the head. I can't remember if its visible with the head bolted on but I think so.
