Let's get the process of getting together started.
We can start locally, meeting somewhere for coffee
and go from there. No great distances, just local groups
to start, then once we've got a good tight phone list to
call and get everybody in one place at the same time,
we can take the next step.
Let's all email each other through the board, and if we
want to share phone numbers for the sake of organizing
ourselves we can. I will share my numbers with all Oklahoma
FTE posters, new and veteran. Like, everybody in the 918
area code contact each other, and so on. We'll figure a place
in each town by vote and arrange to meet there.
By doing this we can avoid a lot of travel by figuring out a
good "midpoint" for all to meet at. And for our sakes lets
keep this information to ourselves, for organizing and helping
each other with our trucks. I would be tickled to go out to
salvage yards with a buddy system like this. And we can watch
out for other folk's needs and let them know where to get
things they need. A real collective effort.
This is just the beginning. Once we start forming a network
of Okie Ford folks we can do bigger things...
This may sound hugely out there but I'd like to see it all
grow into local events, regional and even one big sprawling
State event like a Fordapalooza! And just maybe have guests
like our fearless webmeister and Administrater Ken to be the
keynote speaker.
It can happen. Email me through FTE and let's do it.
I'll even run to places and meet folks myself. But y'all
better get somebody else to make the coffee. Mine's
been known to remove wallpaper and paint!
