Can I put `97-up seat in my `90?

I just picked up a 1990 F-150 X-cab that is as base of a base model as you can get down to the vinyl split-back bench seat and rubber flooring. I need a better seat due to my back. I can get a nice `97 60/40 cloth split bench for a decent price that's even the same color as my interior and MUCH more comfy. Has this ever been done? Will it bolt right in or do I need to change things around? Or is this just a no-go? Anyone ever tried this? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Cool

As far as a "bolt-in" seat goes you can only go up to 1996.
You may at that have to use your tracks from your old seat though.
I have a 1994 F150 SuperCab with a very nice comfortable 40/20/40 seat combo, with cloth upholstery and power lumbar support for both passenger and driver.
I would think that something like this would work for you, you can probably find one in what I call a high end salvage yard.

i though in 97 theres were two body styles, the old and the new. if he got one designed for the old i don't see why he would have any problems.
