Question Making new key

I just saw someone selling ford keys with the chip on EBay. This person stated that if you currently have two keys that work in your ignition you can program additional keys for nothing. Does anyone know how this done? Is there some type of hidden utility that the truck can program a key on it's own?

Thanks, Ray

I have read that before. It might even be in your owner's manual. I'll look when I get home tonight and let you know.

You need to have two keys that already work with your truck.
Take one of your old keys, turn to ignition on, do no try to crank.
Take the other old key turn to ignition on.
Take the new key and turn to ignition on, then off. Repeat on-off twice more with the new key. After third time it is supposed to work.
I had trouble with my new key and had tio try this a few times before I got the new key programed.
