302 EFI to carb conversion. Intake gaskets??? LOOK
I am doing an EFI to carb conversion. The EFI engine I am useing is an 1986 F150 302. The stock 302 intake for the carb set-up I am using is from a 84-85 Ford Crown Vic. When I go to the parts store, which intake gaskets should I ask for? Are the EFI and carb intake gaskets differnt? If so, how are they differnt?
Thanks for your help,
Clayton

I would ask for one for the crown vic. In all honesty there shouldn't be much if any difference. Take the carbed intake with you and compare the gasket. Otherwise, they should be made of similar material, so that isn't an issue, and they both use the same or close to the same head design, so that isn't an issue. Just compare them as best you can without taking them out of the plastic (if they are vacuum wrapped) because once open, they don't take them back. You probably knew all that though, sorry I couldn't give you a more definitive answer, later
