I tell ya, everytime I look at doing something to make that stock driveline better it get into a having to make major modifications. I think I'm just going to leave mine as is till I can afford to put in a V-8 and auto trans.

Looking for an adaptor to mate
Hello, you said you talked to a T-5 adaptor supplier to mate the T-5 to the 226 Flathead Ford. Can you please write me at memorylane60@charter.net. and let me know who you talked to and where to get one. I have a 1950 Flathead 6 and a 1989 S-10 T-5 transmission, I have the car bellhousing .Thanks Dave

They said the car bellhousing is square bolt style. While the truck trans is round where it bolts to the bellhousing. The car bellhousing uses the standard clutch fork lever. While the truck used that cross shaft.

The guy I bought my adaptor from Dwight Bond seems to be gone for some reason. I was over on the Hotrodders, and The Hamb Forum where I found him before but I can't locate him now. If you have access to a Milling Machine I would make one it's only 1" Aluminum. I did see a picture of one a guy made out of two pieces of 1/2".
The large ring of the bell housing I believe is different between the six and eight, The small bell that goes on the trans are all the same. I do know a guy that has a 226 if anyone needs a bellhousing PM me and I will check with him.
