Dealer says I have the latest flash available for my truck?????

I took my truck to the dealership today for various warranty issues, including the latest 12/12 flash ( in which I took the part number in). This is what they said...

"We hooked it up to our computer, which is directly hooked into the main Ford computer. So in essence, your truck was hooked directly into the Ford computer. The Ford computer says that you have the most recent flash available for your truck, so it was not reflashed."

For starters, from reading all the posts here regarding the flash procedure, what he described is not what I understood the process as being. I thought that they download the flash from Ford into their computer where it is stored for later use, so when I go into get reflashed, all they do is plug into there computer and be on with it. Is this not correct? I don't know and maybe I have been precieving it wrong all of this time.

Nevertheless, my last flash was the infamous October flash. It has not even been in for work since October, so there is no possible way for it to get reflashed with the 12/12 without my knowledge.

So, basically, they are telling me the the October flash is the only flash available for my truck. Do some trucks get the flash and some do not? Or, is something wrong with their system or something wrong with the guy running the system?

And, get this. Some of my concers that I took it in for where excessive smoke on start up and exhaust fumes being able present in the cab. Guess what there resposne to this was... The diesel is bad or gelling is causing these problems. Well when I took the truck in for service in October it was still 80 plus degrees here and I complained about the exhaust then. I have also filled up from about 12 different fuel stations. I highly doubt that all of them have poor fuel.

Anyway, I could use some insight on my flash problem, if anyone can help.
