Actually, anything further advanced than 10 degrees would be for increasing fuel mileage. But then you run into the chance of causing your timing to 'ping' if you accelerate a little quickly. I have found the the factory spec is better overall for a good balance between power and fuel mileage. On my friends truck we opted in a 'performance chip' and it increased his power a fair bit and so far has not seemed to have sacrificed fuel mileage. Just a suggestion.
