97 F-150 Flush??
I drained the radiator and only got about 3 gallons...I put the flush in the resevoir since there is no filler on the radiator and filled it with water. Let the motor run till hot and it seemed that the fluid was not going into the system...so I loosend the cap and some of it went in and there was a little pressure in the system. I have the heater going also but it seems that the fluid is not going into the system and I have no idea how I'm going to get 19 quarts into the system??? Any ideas?

you wont be able to drain the full amount, even if you open the freeze plug (plug instead of "plugs" as the plug on the starter side is difficult to reach). Drain the radiator, open drivers side freeze plug, flush thru the radiator with a water hose. Then pull the plastic reservoir container and clean it out.. Put in about 8 qts of 50/50 distilled water/antifreeze, run it for 15 minutes. let it cool, and add more to full. Run the engine until it is hot, let it cool overnight and then fill back tothe full marking. Be sure to keep your mixture 50/50 (or close) between distilled water and antifreeze, and also i use prestone radiator flush before changing the fluid. you are correct, run the heater the whole time you are flushing to pull the radiator flush into the whole system

flusssshhhhh
Did all that...only the radiator has no fill cap just the plastic overflow bottle. I got two gallons of antifreeze in it and a half gallon of water. Ran it to and frrm work and the level never changed...so hopefully it's full because the wife is driving it from St. Louis to Alabama this AM. I gave her a jug of water

www.Jegs.com sells radiator accessories to add a filler neck in-line w/your upper hose so you can fill it the traditional way like the older model trucks w/the filler neck on the radiator etc.
They run about 25-30 bucks.
