speaker box?????

I have been searching for a speaker box for an 04 f-150 screw. the only place i can find one is at subbox.com. does anyone know of another place that has them (cheaper)? please help me out with this search! trying to fit some 8's or 10's under the rear seat. i was also looking at some component infinity 6800cs speakers that i thought sounded pretty good. does anybody recommend these or what would you throwin? Or is it better to do some cutting and put some round components? im planning on going with the components on all four doors hooked up to a rf 600a5 or something like that amp, with a factory headunit. looking to spend around $225 per set. thanx in advanced

If a 2004 uses 6 x 8 speakers, I would look into a 5.25" co-axial or component set mounted on an adapter plate. Unless you are going to have people sitting in the back and demanding high quality audio, you might want to funnel all that cash toward higher quality front speakers.

Have you ever been to a concert? Were the speakers/band members in front of you or behind you?

Hope this helps.

alpine has some great components for the money. and the kicker components I have are pretty decent. there is a difference between round and oval components in sound quality but its hardly audible, depending on what speakers/ brand. unless you will be competing in sq, ovals should be fine for your application. I was gonna try to put round ones in but it was easier and cheaper to just bolt in oval ones. also I would look into a different amp. I havent heard anything good about the new rf amps. just a thought....
